Our vision is big. We want to be the leading pharmaceutical company in Latin America and beyond — bold, innovative, challenging and aggressive — with an unlimited potential for growth. Our depth and breadth of expertise in corporate development, marketing, sales and operations allow us to establish strong partnerships with the world's leading pharmaceuticals companies. Quality and speed of execution is the core element of our DNA, and integral to the value we provide to patients, healthcare providers and partners.
moksha8 was founded in 2007 with the goal of becoming the leading pharmaceutical company in Latin America through the commercialization of high quality therapeutics. The company was founded by Simba Gill and Texas Pacific Group (TPG), one of the largest private equity firms in the world with over $40Bn under management.
We have established full commercial operations in Brazil and Mexico and are aggressively expanding into the rest of Latin America.
Our name is important to us. It represents our vision and our core markets, operating principles, values and culture. Moksha is a Sanskrit word and a philosophical principle which encompasses the ideas of liberation, enlightenment and freedom from barriers and constraints.
Moksha is gained through self-awareness, knowledge and action. "8" has symbolic meaning across many cultures. In Asia, it is a particularly auspicious number. Mathematically, "8" is a Fibonacci number. "8" also represents constant regeneration.
Our value system is linked to the Buddhist eightfold path which emphasizes the importance of wisdom, ethical conduct and mental discipline.
Our operating philosophy is based on the concept that great people and great organizations can manage eight degrees of complexity.
